My phone and computer are full of soap photos! There are two main places where I take photos, one is next to a small window in my workspace, and the other is outside this room in an open loft-ish area that is well-lit by a larger window.
I usually do all the soap glamour shots in the larger space, and I use some leftover flooring from when we moved in as a backdrop. Most of the time, I take photos with my mom's fancy camera, but I found it's easier for me to do videos from my phone. I have a gazillion soap photos!
